About Jerome Smart

Jerome started rock climbing outside of Livingston, Montana when he was 14. Since then, it has been a driving passion for him and a medium for adventure. Jerome has climbed all over the inter-mountain west and spent significant time climbing in California, including almost a dozen ascents of Yosemite’s El Capitan. Additionally, Jerome has climbed on four continents.

Jerome knows the Tetons intimately having spent summers there climbing the classics and winters searching for the deep and steep lines. Jerome has had notable ski descents in the Tetons such as the Ford-Stettner Couloir on the Grand Teton and Apocalypse Couloir in Death Canyon.

Lander, Wyoming is Jerome’s basecamp where he enjoys the easy access to great rock climbing, the world class fishing, and glorious trips to the Wind River Range.
