Kelly Carroll

Kelly grew up skiing in Stowe, VT before heading to Duke for undergrad and eventually moving out to Jackson, WY to follow her passion for the outdoors. She guided for Backroads for 6 years, spending most of her time in France and eventually managing the company’s trips in the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps, basing out of Chamonix. She found a love and deep curiosity for snow science and backcountry skiing in the Tetons and currently spends most of her year skiing. She ski guides and teaches avalanche courses in Jackson, WY during the Northern hemisphere winter, spends her spring extending her ski season on the volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest, and spends summers heli-ski guiding for Ski Portillo Chile during the Southern hemisphere winter. In her down time, she loves to travel, climb, ski, speak French, and spend time with family and friends.
