Philip Jones

Philip was born in Georgia and raised in the Northeast. In 1996 his love of the mountains led him to Jackson, where he’s since lived year round. The Tetons inspired him to begin climbing in earnest in 1997, amassing extensive knowledge of over 150 Teton routes. A JHMG guide since 2009, Philip guides in the Tetons, Beartooths, Wind Rivers and Red Rock, NV. Winters are spent ski patrolling at Jackson’s cold and steep town hill, Snow King Resort. Memorable routes include snowboarding the Grand and a solo enchainment of the North face of Teewinot, North Ridge of Mt Owen and the East Ridge of the Grand Teton in a day.
