Hailing from Minnesota, Jack grew up as a competitive snowboard racer and pond hockey enthusiast. He first summited the Grand Teton with his dad at age 12, sparking a passion for climbing that deepened during his time as an undergraduate at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Since then, he has traveled extensively in pursuit of difficult climbing and skiing objectives - frequenting the granite walls of Yosemite, icy spires of Patagonia, and steep couloirs of Chamonix. Now based in Bozeman, Montana, Jack spent five years working as an outdoor photojournalist before beginning his career as a mountain guide. He believes that every day spent in the mountains is a gift - and strives to help other climbers experience that same sense of joy and gratitude.
