Ryan Mertaugh

Ryan, or more commonly known by his last name, Mertaugh, was first exposed to the Tetons when he was 14 years old when he came out on a trip to climb with his father. Since then, he has built a life around the Teton Range. Moving to Jackson when he was 19 he began his guiding career. His formal education is in Secondary Education, and he taught both French and Spanish in the Teton County School District before deciding to make a move to year-round guiding. Besides guiding Ryan also serves as a Volunteer for Teton County Search and Rescue
and is a proud father of two awesome little kiddos.
