This is a fun day of climbing, to get you out and experience one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Our intro to climbing trips are designed for those who are interested in a new adventure and want to learn the basics.  Our guides will provide you with a strong foundation and understanding in knots, belaying and principles of rock climbing.  Our goal is to create a space for you to learn and feel comfortable while challenging yourself and exploring the vertical world.

It can be difficult to please everyone on a family vacation, but The Mountain Guides Montana has a solution. Spend the half-day in the quiet corners of Montana on a family rock climbing adventure.

Our guides will coordinate the ideal rock climbing experience based on your family’s ages, abilities and climbing experience. Rock climbing is a unique activity that allows each person to choose their own level of challenge while spending the day together and sharing quality time.  Previous family clients have found rock climbing to be a great way to accommodate everyone while having fun, improving communication and creating trust between members.  We are able to accommodate climbers ages 5 and up and we ask that parents or guardians accompany anyone under the age of 15.

Come out and enjoy a half day of guided climbing in Northwest Montana.  Our half-day trips are designed for established climbers that want to climb and explore a new region without needing to hunt for which climb to do next.  Whether you need a partner or just want someone to line you out on all the local beta, we have got you covered.  Let us know what type of climbing you prefer and what grade you are climbing at and we will set them up while you knock them down.  We do allow guests to lead climb as part of these trips once they have shown proficiency and the guide feels confident with everyone’s skill and focus.

Our single pitch workshops are designed to help recreational climbers take their skills to the next level.  The half day workshops are focused on more skill building and less climbing.  We work with clients to determine the exact curriculum depending on personal goals and objectives.  Common areas of focus are anchor building, Intro to sport lead climbing and Intro to traditional lead climbing.
