Our foundations in climbing programs are designed to help recreational climbers feel more confident. We focus on designing a day that will allow clients to take their skills to the next level while also getting in a fun day of climbing.

The Mountain Guides will provide you with all of your personal equipment needs for rock climbing including; harness, shoes, chalk bag, helmet and belay/rappel devices.

- Sticky Rubber approach shoes, running shoes or hiking shoes: (PLEASE NO OPEN TOED SHOES)
- Sandals/ comfy shoes for the drive home
UPPER LAYERS

CONSIDERATIONS
Montana Weather – It can be sunny one moment and raining the next or both at the same time. Mornings and evening are cold and daytime is hot. Bring layers for everything. We live in a dry climate and our bodies need water, hydrate the night before your climb/ hike and be sure to bring more with you. Consider freezing your water bottles or putting ice in them. Light-colored and loose-fitting clothes will help keep you cool.
Directions to Stone Hill Climbing Area:
We meet our guests at the specific climbing area at the beginning of the trip.
Stone Hill:
- From Whitefish, head north on Hwy 93 toward the town of Eureka Montana (52 miles).
- When you reach the north end of the town of Eureka, make a left onto MT Hwy 37.
- Drive on Hwy 37 until you see the large suspension bridge that crosses the reservoir.
- Park in the visitor parking lot at the bridge to meet your guide
- From the parking lot you will caravan with your guide to the exact location of your crag.

Because of The Mountain Guides Montana Whitefish, Montana location in beautiful Flathead Valley and proximity to Glacier National Park our venues for teaching are one of a kind. Flights come into Glacier International Airport (FCA) daily. Amtrak arrives once per day.
Are your trips group based or private?
All of our trips are private trips with you own personal guide. We do not mix groups.
Where do I meet my Guide/s?
You will meet your Guide/s at the climbing area at the start time of your trip. Please make sure that you are accounting for drive time from your location to the climbing area.
How do I get in touch with my Guide?
The Mountain Guides Montana office will be your primary contact for questions prior to your trip and any problems you are having on the day of the trip. Our climbing areas are out of cell service and our guides will not be contactable.
Do you provide Transportation?
We do not provide any transportation to or from climbing venues.
