Rock Climbing in Utah — Guided Desert Climbing in Moab & Indian Creek
World-Class Desert Rock Climbing
Moab and Indian Creek offer some of the most iconic rock climbing in the world — from towering sandstone desert spires to the legendary parallel-sided cracks of Indian Creek, this is climbing that belongs on every climber’s list. The Mountain Guides are the only AMGA-accredited guide service in Moab, and we’ve been guiding desert climbing here since the early days of our expansion beyond the Tetons. Whether you’re a first-time outdoor climber looking to learn on warm desert sandstone or an experienced leader ready to tackle a desert tower or big wall, our Moab guides will put you on the right route.

When to Climb in Moab
Moab’s climbing season runs primarily from fall through spring (October–April), with the best conditions in March–April and October–November. Summers are extremely hot in the desert, making climbing uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. Indian Creek’s season is similar but slightly shorter due to its higher elevation. TMG’s Moab office coordinates all logistics — contact us at 307-733-4979 to plan your trip.
