Rock Climbing at City of Rocks — Guided Climbing in Idaho
World-Class Granite in the Idaho Desert
City of Rocks National Reserve is widely regarded as one of America’s premier granite climbing areas. The rock here is ancient — some of the oldest exposed granite in North America — and it’s been sculpted by wind and weather into spectacular spires, knobs, and faces with features that make for exceptionally fun climbing. Routes range from friction slabs and delicate face climbs to aggressive cracks and multi-pitch tower routes up to six pitches. With over 750 documented routes from 5.2 to 5.13, there’s something for every climber at every level.
Our City of Rocks Climbing Programs
