Red Rock Climbing — Guided Rock Climbing Near Las Vegas
Desert Sandstone Climbing at Its Finest
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, offers some of the best sandstone rock climbing in the American West. The distinctive red and tan Aztec sandstone creates an incredible variety of climbing — from friction slabs and crimpy faces to steep overhangs and long multi-pitch routes up dramatic canyon walls. With routes from 5.4 to 5.14 spread across hundreds of crags, Red Rock has perfect climbing for beginners learning the basics and experienced climbers pushing their limits. The Mountain Guides are AMGA-accredited and have been guiding at Red Rock since expanding beyond our Jackson Hole headquarters.

Season & Getting Here
Red Rock’s climbing season runs October through April — the reverse of most mountain climbing areas. This makes it the perfect winter escape for climbers. Summers are extremely hot and not suitable for climbing. TMG’s Red Rock office is an easy 30-minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip. Fly into Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and you can be climbing by the afternoon.
