Rock Climbing & Canyoneering Combo Adventure
Overview
Say what?! Climbing and Canyoneering in the same day. Um yes please! This is a highly rated memorable experience that your busy itinerary can accommodate.
You will meet your guide a 8am and head out to the local crag for a 4 hour single pitch climbing session. From here you will drive to the canyon trail head, organize packs then set off for the canyoneering portion of the adventure. Be sure to pack a lunch. You and your guide will undoubtably find a remarkable place to sit and enjoy your snacks. After having your mind blown by the magnificence of the canyon country, we can exchange high fives and will be back in Moab by 4:30pm

While hiking into the area canyons, you will run into an amazing desert environment that is hot, sticky, and scratchy one minute then at the next corner you are wet or involved in a high angle adventure. The following list is a recommendation of what to wear to be comfortable to enjoy your trip.
JHMG provides all technical equipment: harness, helmets, rappelling devices, carabineers, and waterproof bags. If your trip/class includes a canyon with a big swim, you will need to provide your own PFD and wet suit. Please apply sunscreen prior to your canyoneering departure, as it helps keep the water in the canyons clean – re-apply freely after swimming.

Located in southeast Utah, Moab is approximately 236 miles from Salt Lake City, 355 miles from Denver, 115 miles from Grand Junction and 458 miles from Las Vegas. Meeting times and location are determined by the season and objectives. Please contact 435-260-2357 for departure times. Many of our climbing sites are fairly close to town, while Indian Creek, Castle Valley and Fisher Towers take about an hour to get to. Once there however, there are miles of routes with close proximity to one another, making the walking time minimal when compared to the amount of climbing that can be achieved in a day. Climbing around Moab is usually about a 10 to 20 minute drive from downtown. The approaches are very close to the car and routes are located close together
