The Mountain Guides Response to COVID-19

May 16, 2020 | Posted in: JHMG

Dear Friends,

In the face of our nation’s fight against Coronavirus, The Mountain Guides is ceasing all field operations beginning March 19, 2020. This closure will last at least through May 31, 2020.

Our priority right now is the health of our guides and guests and also to our responsibility to participate in our shared efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.

We have found the CDC Prevention and Treatment website to be a reliable resource and guide to help manage our own personal health.

We are working with Grand Teton National Park, Teton County Public Health and our Medical Advisor to develop an action plan to allow us to resume operations while doing our part to keep our clients and staff healthy.

We are in uncharted territory here and we are trying to supply at least a little clarity in a dynamic environment. If you have any questions regarding your upcoming trip, please contact us at info@themountainguides.com or call/text us at 307.733.4979.

We are still taking reservations for our summer programs and are planning on operating in the Tetons, Wind River Range and Beartooth Range.  If you are interested in making a reservation please submit an inquiry

In the meantime, please don’t forget your climbing goals. Short term opportunities may be interrupted, but now is a fine time to prepare your body and mind for adventures when that time arrives.

Thank you for your patience and support.
