Your Colorado Adventure Guides

The Mountain Guides offer year-round guided climbing, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, and avalanche education across Colorado’s Front Range and Rocky Mountain National Park. From classic alpine rock routes on Longs Peak and the Petit Grepon to world-famous crack climbing in Eldorado Canyon and single-pitch days on the Flatirons, our Colorado programs cover some of the best climbing in the state. In winter, we shift to backcountry skiing in Rocky Mountain National Park and AIARE avalanche courses that give you the skills for safe, independent backcountry travel. Our guides are AMGA-trained and certified professionals who bring deep local knowledge to every trip and course.

Rock Climbing in Colorado

Rocky Mountain National Park: Some of the best alpine climbing in the United States. Guided ascents of Longs Peak via the Keyhole Route, the Casual Route on the Diamond (5.10a), Culp-Bossier on Hallett Peak, Blitzen Ridge on Mt. Yipson, and the classic Petit Grepon. Multi-pitch alpine objectives for intermediate to advanced climbers, plus mountaineering routes combining rock, snow, and ice.

Eldorado Canyon: World-class sport and trad climbing on Eldorado’s dramatic canyon walls just minutes from Boulder. Iconic routes like the Bastille Crack and the Yellow Spur. Half-day and full-day guided climbs for all levels.

The Flatirons & Boulder: The Flatirons are among Colorado’s most recognizable rock formations. Our guided climbs take you up classic multi-pitch routes with stunning views of the Front Range. An excellent introduction to outdoor climbing for Denver and Boulder visitors.

Ice Climbing: When temperatures drop, Colorado’s Front Range comes alive with frozen waterfalls and ice flows. We offer guided single-pitch and multi-pitch ice climbing trips for beginners through advanced climbers.

Backcountry Skiing & Avalanche Education in Colorado

Rocky Mountain National Park offers incredible backcountry skiing terrain, from introductory runs at Hidden Valley and the Banana Bowl to advanced ski mountaineering descents on Dragon’s Tail and the South Face of Hallett Peak. Our Colorado backcountry skiing programs include private day tours, multi-day ski mountaineering camps, and intro clinics for resort skiers making the transition. All of our AIARE avalanche education courses are available in Colorado, including AIARE Level 1, Companion Rescue, AIARE Level 2, and women’s-specific courses. We use a hybrid format — online learning plus field days in RMNP — convenient for Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Estes Park residents.

All technical gear is provided, and we keep group sizes small for personalized instruction and an exceptional experience on the rock, ice, or snow.
