About Josh Richards
Raised in the Pikes Peak Region of Colorado, Josh thought everyone played with rocks. He realized studying geology and rock climbing was a lot of fun growing up, and now has brought that excitement to each outing. Josh first started guiding in college for the outdoor program before he interned with the Colorado Mountain School in Estes Park. Shortly after the climbing season ended, he moved to Oregon where he was the Outdoor Program Director for the Portland Rock Gym, where he taught courses and guided. Wanting to get back to the Rockies, Josh moved to Whitefish to become an aspiring hydrologist and avalanche educator.
