About Cole Maxwell
Cole was born and raised in Whitefish, Graduated from Idaho State in 2018, and moved right back home. Growing up in Montana provided him a wealth of outdoor opportunities. He fell in love with rock climbing just after high school, and pursued it professionally throughout college. Between the time Cole earned his first certification from the American Mountain Guides Association in 2016, and was voted “Best Outdoor Guide of Whitefish” in 2022, he was traveling and climbing routes all the way from Canada to Mexico in his van. His favorite place to climb is in Moab, UT, anywhere he can find a tall hand crack. Cole’s passion for rock climbing paired with his knowledge and experience of the sport makes him an incredible asset here at The Mountain Guides Montana.
