Grand Teton National Park — Guided Climbing, Skiing & Mountain Adventures

Your Grand Teton National Park Guides

Grand Teton National Park is the crown jewel of Wyoming’s mountain landscape and the birthplace of The Mountain Guides. Since 1968, we’ve been leading climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and avalanche education programs in the Tetons as an authorized National Park Service concessioner. As the only AMGA-accredited guide service in the Tetons, we offer the widest range of guided programs in the park — from the iconic Grand Teton summit expedition to single-day rock climbs, backcountry ski tours, and professional avalanche courses. Whatever the season, the Tetons have something extraordinary to offer.

Summer — Climbing & Mountaineering

Grand Teton Summit Expedition: Our flagship 4-day program from Corbet High Camp. No prior climbing experience required. Summit the Grand Teton (13,776’) with professional guides.

Single-Day Rock Climbs: Classic alpine routes on Symmetry Spire, Disappointment Peak, Irene’s Arete, and the Cathedral Traverse.

Overnight Alpine Summits: Multi-day objectives throughout the Teton Range for climbers seeking bigger alpine adventures.

Mt. Moran: Canoe across Jackson Lake and climb one of the most striking peaks in the Tetons via the Skillet Glacier or CMC route.

Rock Climbing Instruction: Intro courses for climbers new to the outdoor alpine environment.

Kids Rock!: Rock climbing for ages 5+ near Jackson Hole.

Winter — Backcountry Skiing & Avalanche Education

The Tetons receive deep, consistent snowfall and offer some of the most iconic backcountry ski terrain in North America. Our winter GTNP programs include private guided backcountry ski and splitboard tours, Backcountry Essentials for skiers making the resort-to-backcountry transition, multi-day Ski Mountaineering Camps, Teton Ski Mountaineering for advanced descents of major summits, and a full suite of AIARE courses (Level 1, Level 2, Rescue). Women’s AIARE courses and Women’s Backcountry Touring Weekends are also available, taught by experienced female instructors.
