Guided Mountaineering Trips & Courses
Summit Adventures Across the Northern Rockies
The Mountain Guides’ mountaineering programs span from the iconic spires of Grand Teton National Park to remote state highpoints across Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Montana. Whether you’re attempting your first alpine summit or building toward more technical mountaineering objectives, our AMGA-accredited guides lead you through every step — from training days and gear checks to summit pushes. We offer guided mountaineering trips year-round, with summer alpine climbs, fall and winter ice climbing, and multi-day ski mountaineering courses.
Grand Teton & Wyoming Mountaineering
Grand Teton Climbs: The crown jewel of our program. The Grand Teton (13,776’) is on every climber’s life list, and our four-day guided climbs include training, acclimatizing at Corbet High Camp (11,200’), and a guided summit push. No prior climbing experience required.
Mt. Moran Summit Experience: A unique wilderness mountaineering adventure — approach by canoe across Jackson Lake, with routes ranging from the Skillet Glacier snow climb to the classic CMC rock route. One of the most striking peaks in the northern Tetons.
Gannett Peak Expedition: Wyoming’s highest summit (13,804’) via a remote multi-day wilderness approach through the Wind River Range. A true backcountry mountaineering experience.
Granite Peak Expedition: Montana’s highest summit (12,807’) in the rugged Beartooth Wilderness. A challenging multi-day expedition combining approach hiking, glacier travel, and technical rock.
Colorado Ice Climbing & Ski Mountaineering
Our Colorado mountaineering programs run fall through spring across Rocky Mountain National Park. Ice climbing courses range from introductory single-pitch days to multi-pitch alpine ice objectives — perfect progression for climbers building winter skills. Our Ski Mountaineering Camps in Colorado and Utah’s Wasatch Range offer multi-day immersion in steep skiing, snow assessment, rope systems, and alpine travel for backcountry skiers and splitboarders ready to push into more committing terrain.
