Gannett Peak Ridge

Mountaineering in Wyoming — Grand Teton, Mt. Moran & Gannett Peak Expeditions

Wyoming’s Premier Mountaineering Objectives

Wyoming’s Teton Range and Wind River Mountains contain some of the most iconic mountaineering objectives in North America. The Mountain Guides have been leading mountaineering expeditions in these ranges since 1968 — longer than nearly any other guide service. From our flagship Grand Teton summit expedition to the remote Gannett Peak (Wyoming’s highpoint) deep in the Wind River Range, our AMGA-accredited guides bring unmatched local knowledge and professional expertise to every expedition.

Our Wyoming Mountaineering Programs

Grand Teton Summit Expedition: Our flagship four-day program from Corbet High Camp (11,200’). No prior climbing experience required. Summit the Grand Teton (13,776’) via the Pownall-Gilkey or Exum Ridge route, with training, acclimatization, and camping in one of the most spectacular alpine settings in the world.

Single-Day Teton Alpine Summits: Guided alpine summit objectives throughout the Teton Range for a single day — from moderate scrambles to technical alpine routes. Great for experienced hikers and climbers looking for a summit experience without a multi-day commitment.

Mt. Moran Summit Experience: One of the Tetons’ most unique expeditions. Approach by canoe across Jackson Lake, then climb the Skillet Glacier or CMC route to the summit of this striking 12,605’ peak. A true wilderness mountaineering adventure.

Gannett Peak Expedition: Wyoming’s highest summit (13,804’) deep in the Wind River Range. A multi-day wilderness expedition combining long backcountry approaches, glacier travel, and technical rock climbing on the final summit push. For strong, motivated mountaineers.

Teton Ski Mountaineering: Winter and spring guided ski descents of major Teton summits and couloirs. For advanced backcountry skiers with mountaineering aspirations.
