Guided Summit Hikes & Canyon Adventures

Desert Summits & Canyon Exploration

Not every mountain adventure requires ropes and technical climbing. The Mountain Guides offer guided summit hikes and canyoneering experiences that get you into spectacular terrain with the confidence of having a professional guide at your side. From desert peak summits in Red Rock Canyon to slot canyon exploration in Moab, these programs are designed for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who want more than a trail — they want a guided mountain experience with AMGA-accredited professionals.

Our Hiking & Canyon Programs

Red Rock Summit Experience (Nevada): Hike to the top of one of Red Rock Canyon’s beautiful desert summits, just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Juniper Peak, Whiskey Peak, Cactus Flower Tower, and Mt. Wilson all offer rewarding scrambles with some of the best views in the Red Rock. No climbing experience required — your guide will choose the right summit based on your fitness and comfort level.

Moab Canyoneering & Combo Adventures (Utah): Explore Moab’s dramatic slot canyons on a guided canyoneering trip. Navigate narrows, rappel into hidden amphitheaters, and hike through some of the most spectacular desert terrain on the Colorado Plateau. Trips range from family-friendly half-day adventures to full-day technical routes. We also offer a Rock Climbing & Canyoneering Combo for visitors who want both worlds in a single trip.

Longs Peak — Keyhole Route (Colorado): Colorado’s most iconic 14er summit via the classic non-technical Keyhole Route. A strenuous but achievable 13-mile mountain hike gaining 5,000 feet of elevation. Available as a single-day or overnight guided experience from Estes Park, convenient to Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins.

Why Hike with a Guide

A professional mountain guide transforms a good hike into an exceptional one. Our guides bring route-finding expertise, safety management, natural history knowledge, and local insight that you won’t find on a trail app. The Mountain Guides are AMGA-accredited with operations across the West. All technical gear is provided for canyoneering trips, and group sizes are kept small for a personalized experience.
