The Women’s Network was created by guides and administrative staff within The Mountain Guides who are seeking greater gender inclusivity in rock climbing and backcountry skiing.

The Women’s Network aims to fuel the spirit by providing adventure-minded women (transgender and cisgender) and non-binary people the opportunity to explore or expand their mountain skills, develop confidence, push personal limits and build connections in a professional and intentional environment.

The Women’s Network courses and trips are for anyone comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women in the outdoors. These courses will be taught by experienced, AMGA certified women and nonbinary guides.  This year we are offering rock climbing courses including introduction to outdoor climbing, multi pitch climbing camps and crack climbing clinics in renowned climbing destinations such as Red Rocks, Nevada; Moab, Utah; and Eldorado Canyon, Boulder Canyon and Lumpy Ridge of Colorado. We are also offering a backcountry ski clinic in the Teton Mountain Range, Wyoming. These courses are designed to get women and non-binary people outside and help them advance their climbing, skiing, and mountain skills goals.

At The Mountain Guides, we are examining structural shifts that need to occur to increase access to and inclusivity of our offerings. The Women’s Network is one step on this journey. This programming will be transforming and expanding as we continue to learn and grow as an organization.
