Our trip was awesome. [Steve] Our guide did the perfect job of keeping us safe while letting us explore the mountain. Having tried to climb the Grand several years ago on our own and turning back, this time with Steve it was a lot easier and we were successful. The only mistake we made was not hiring a guide on the first attempt.

Our guide, Tyler Jones, was top notch. He was highly experienced, knowledgeable, a patient teacher and even a decent cook. I had never been on a trip like this before and really didn’t understand what I was getting myself into when I agreed to go with my friends. Tyler went above and beyond to make sure we all had a good experience, stayed safe and enjoyed the mountains. The accommodations and food in high camp were very good. The weather, on the other hand, didn’t cooperate but we still had a blast and made good memories.

Our climb up the Grand Teton with Sam Hennessey was unforgettable! Sam was a fantastic guide from the very start. He established a sustainable pace to ensure that we’d have enough left in the tank at the end of the day – and we did! Sam was extremely professional and enjoyable the entire time . He was also surprisingly knowledgeable about the history and geology of GTNP. I would HIGHLY recommend climbing the Grand (or any mountain) with Sam, he’s a consummate guide.
