My group participated in the 2 day summit of the Grand Teton. The trip was sort of a splurge for us, but worth every penny. It was hugely important to have a knowledgable guide to manage equipment and undertake route finding. Our guide was friendly and extremely professional; he kept our group on track and provided a safe and fulfilling experience for everyone.

My father and I returned to the Tetons, a special place for both of us, to summit Mt. Moran for his 60th birthday and 40 years after he had been rescued off the peak (August 1975) after an unexpected, heavy snow storm had trapped his party for 2 days on the mountain. This time we had good weather for most of the climb and a wonderful time. Phil Jones made this experience one for the books, giving us the technical support we needed to summit and return safely. His sense of humor (especially about my dad bringing the pack and boots he wore on the mountain 40 years prior), great cooking and calm demeanor made him an indispensable asset to us — not to mention his climbing and route finding skills. It was a fun trip and an epic return to the mountain for my dad. Thanks, JHMG and Phil for making this trip possible!
