SLCA Climbing Clinic Equipment List

Hey all,

We are really excited to be hosting these two clinics.  Here is a lost of equipment that you should plan to bring to the clinic.  One thing to note is that Equipment selection is actually part of the clinic, so if some of the items do not make sense, or you don’t have an item,  don’t worry your instructor will bring extra that students can use.

-helmet
-harness
-3-4 locking carabiners( preferably pear shaped otherwise known as HMS)
-1 auto blocking/ assisted brake device belay device
-holloblock or prussic hitching sling
-personal anchoring device, no aid climbing daisy chains!
-3-4 non locking carabiners
-1 quad length and 1 double length sling
– 5m x 6 or 7mm coordalette
-light traditional rack
-single rated rope, short lengths best for ground training
