Overview

Have you been dreaming about skiing some of the iconic peaks in the Tetons? Jackson, Wyoming offers all levels of off-piste skiing challenges and rewards. This camp is the perfect venue for the women/ non-binary skier who wants to improve their understanding of terrain, snowpack assessment, and route selection. You will discuss companion search and rescue, improve backcountry travel techniques, practice ski technique and gain confidence of navigating your outdoor winter surroundings while networking with new women and non-binary skiers.

Backcountry Essentials

Day 0 – The evening before the camp, you’ll connect with your guides for a short introduction on zoom where you’ll discuss clothing, equipment, the contents of our backpack, and current snowpack conditions.

Day 1 – You’ll meet your guides at the winter trailhead at a time decided on by your guide. The first day we will establish our group dynamic and refresh the skills necessary for touring including companion avalanche search and rescue, ascending with skins, transitions from up to down, and of course riding

Day 2 will be spent in magnificent GTNP, ascending and descending some of the classic winter lines. Along the way you will be learning about route selection, track setting, snowpack assessment, weather assessment, and skiing in variable backcountry snow. The best part is that you will be learning with other women and non- binary folks while experiencing some of the best touring objectives in the Tetons.
