Plan to meet your guide in Estes Park around 8 AM. During this time, you’ll go over the following topics:

From there, you’ll head into the field for a tour, throughout which, you will cover the following topics:
- Intro to Avalanche Rescue
- Layering
- Route Finding and Navigation
- Skin Track Setting and Pacing
- Snowpack Assessment
- Traveling in Avalanche Terrain
- Strategies for Downhill Travel
