Overview

The Mountain Guides Colorado takes pride in offering guided climbs of the Flatirons. Nestled into the hillsides south of Boulder, CO, these angled plates dominate the skyline with long east-facing slabs on sculpted, red sandstone. With over 1,000 feet of moderate climbing, the Flatirons host the longest and best beginner multi-pitch climbs in the country! In addition to the moderately angled east faces, hundreds of steep and unique climbs hide among the trees on the flanks and backsides of these behemoth rocks. Once you are up in these enchanted forests, it’s easy to forget how close you are to the Front Range. The Flatirons have a number of different routes. The majority are medium-length, traditionally protected multi-pitch climbs. Most trips last eight hours. We choose routes based on your abilities and goals. Prior multi-pitch climbing experience or instruction is required to participate in our Group Climbs.
