About Zack Cleary
Zack has been guiding since 2017 and is a Certified Rock Guide through the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA). He has been guiding throughout the states and spends his spring and fall in the enchanting Mojave Desert of Red Rock Canyon. The beauty and adventure of Red Rock makes this desert one of Zack’s favorite climbing destinations.
Zack first started climbing and developing his passions for the outdoors during his time at Colgate University. He found he had a passion for teaching people the skills to navigate the mountains and continued onto year-round guiding after graduation. This passion has continued to grow after college as Zack has since traveled throughout the states to explore different cliffs, meet the as-expected wonderful people of climbing, and bring folks into the mountains.
Zack enjoys guiding all types of objectives, whether is the grand objective or the single pitch project. He’s particularly fond of larger routes and the adventure they bring to him and his clients.
When Zack is not in the Mojave, he’s often spending time in the Northeast climbing on granite tucked away in the woods of New York and New Hampshire or over the ocean in coastal Maine. In the winter, you can find him finding frozen water falls in the north facing corridors of New England.
