It took decades for the word to get out, but Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in southern Nevada is now by far and away America’s favorite rock-climbing destination. The primary reason for Red Rock’s popularity has to be the heavily featured and very climber-friendly Aztec sandstone. Red Rock Canyon has climbing for all ability levels. Easy, moderate and difficult climbs of all lengths can be found throughout the Conservation Area. Some routes are only 15 minutes from the car! Another reason for Red Rock’s popularity is the fact that Vegas is a quick 20 minute drive down the hill…anything and everything 24/7.
