Share your Story + Win this Jacket

We think you’re a big deal.
Learning a new skill, summiting a mountain, stepping out of your comfort zone. We’re impressed by our clients that despite hectic schedules decide to do something outside of their normal day-to-day.
Neale Donald Walsch said it best when he said that, “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
Now, we’re giving you the floor – to tell your JHMG story. We’re excited to announce our new blog series, My JHMG Story, which gives our clients that chance to reflect on their trip, remember their experience, and share the story with others. It doesn’t matter whether it’s been a decade or a day since your last trip with Jackson Hole Mountain Guides – as we know adventure memories last a lifetime.
To kick things off, we are giving away great prizes!
This snazzy $200 value Thermostatic jacket from Mountain Hardwear, with JHMG logo, will go to the story we feel warrants the first post of the series. (Female writers will win one of our women Mountain Hardwear jackets).
Additional prizes include gloves, hats, t-shirts, and more – which will be awarded at random to those that submit a story to us.
Stories can take many forms. Focus on one question, answer them all, write a poem, make a video, dictate your journal entries, talk only about the emotions or just get technical, create a list of things to expect, talk about how your body felt — it’s your story, tell it your way.
Here are just some leading questions to get you started:
- Why did you decide to take the trip? Was it a hard decision?
- How did you train for the trip?
- Any thoughts on your guide?
- What was the hardest part of your trip? How did you overcome?
- What did you learn about yourself and/or your climbing mates? Why did you decide to climb with these people?
- Anything different after your trip?
- Advice for others looking to climb?
All authors of stories we post will receive a $25 gift certificate for future adventures and classes with Jackson Hole Mountain Guides.
